BORN HULL 06/02/1902. ONLY SON OF ARCHIBALD & ELIZABETH WALKER, OF 9, SYDNEY TERRACE, THE CAPE, WARWICK. SERVED AS A SIGNAL BOY, ON HMS “IDAHO”. DIED OF DISEASE, ON 12/02/1919, AGED 17. HE IS BURIED AT WARWICK CEMETERY. HE LEFT TWO YOUNG SISTERS.

His Family grave inscription, reads, Son of Archibald and Elizabeth Walker, of 13, Deerpark Drive, Warwick.

In Memory of GEORGE H. WALKER R.N.R. only Son of A and E Walker. Born at Hull. Feb, 6th 1903. Died on service Feb 12th 1919.
“Faithful into Death”
He served his country first as a scout and coast watcher, and afterwards in the trawler section of the Navy. Giving up his life while mine sweeping at the early age of 16 years 6 days.
