Born Hull, 02/03/ 1884. Son of Edward John Walker (1856-1934) and Jane Eliza Harrison (1852-1907), of Patrington, Hull; Husband of Jane E. Walker.

An station Engineman at Kirk Smeaton, Near Pontefract Yorkshire (1911 census). He enlisted in Barnsley, joining the Barnsley Pals when war began. Killed in action on the first day of the battle of the Somme, 01/07/1916, aged 29. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.

He left his army effects and £51 in his will to Emily England, Guardian, in Wakefield.

His name is recorded on the Patrington ww1 Memorial and at St Patrick’s church.
