Wallis, James Robert John

Born Hull 1889. Son James Uriah Wallis (1849-1936) and Kate Carmichael, of 84 Rosemead Street, Newbridge Road, Hull. Like his father, he was employed as an Iron Moulder.

He married Eliza M. Deyes, at Hull in 1914. They had two sons and lived at 78, Danson Lane, Hull (War pension address). Described as 5 foot, 10 inches tall, brown hair , blue eyes. He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 12th East Yorkshire Regiment and survived the war. Reported missing in Hull on 05/11/1918, and confirmed drowned in the Humber, on 26/11/1918, aged 29.

His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail with his photograph.
