HE BOARDED WITH WALTER RICHARDSON AND MAY ELIZABETH RICHARDSON, AND HIS GRANDPARENTS, AT 52 , NAYLORS ROW, HULL (1911 CENSUS). A FORMER BLUNDELL’S PAINT WORKER.
HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 4919, 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 25/09/1916, AGED 25. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, EMMA. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL.
HE IS LISTED AS KILLED ON HULL’S CENTRAL STREET, ROLL OF HONOUR (HULL DAILY MAIL, 17/11/1916).
