SISTERS, EMILY, NELLIE AND ELSIE, & BROTHER, ARTHUR, WHO LIVED AT 93 PARK STREET, HULL. WORKED AS A BRICKLAYER AND PLASTERER. HE MARRIED EMILY MAY KELLITT (1886-1964) KNOWN AS “EMMIE”, IN JANUARY 1912. THEY LIVED AT 4 , BEVERLEY ROAD, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). THEY HAD ONE SON CALLED BERNARD (1914-1982).
HENRY JOINED THE 4TH EAST YORKSHIRES, ON 19/03/1910 AS A TERRITORIAL AND RE-ENLISTED ON 05/08/1914 AT THE OUTBREAK OF WAR. DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 6 INCHES TALL, 34 INCH CHEST. HE SERVED AS A DRUMMER, IN THE 3/4TH EYR, ON THE HOME FRONT. HE DID NOT SERVE ABROAD. HE DIED OF INFLUENZA, AT RECKITT’S HOSPITAL, ON 15/04/1916, AGED 28.
HE IS BURIED IN HULL WESTERN CEMETERY. HENRY WARDROBED IS PICTURED BELOW FAR LEFT SEATED.
