HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 26/10/1915, AGED 19. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 4711, EYR. TRANSFERRED TO THE ROYAL ENGINEERS (“C” SPECIAL BRIGADE., R.E.). DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 02/06/1917, AGED 21. LISTED AS HULL CASUALTY IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, 29/06/1917. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS FATHER AT 8 ARCH AVENUE, HOLMES STREET, HULL
