BORN HEDON 1888. MARRIED AT PATRINGTON, IN 1913. HUSBAND OF OCTAVIA WALGATE HARNESS, OF BUSH FARM, OTTRINGHAM, HULL, SON OF ATHELSTAN WEBSTER (1855-1912) & JANE HUME WEBSTER (1855-1914), OF ELSTERWICK. EMPLOYED AS A BRICKLAYER.

HE ENLISTED HULL. SERVED AS A SAPPER, WITH THE ROYAL ENGINEERS AND 25TH DIVIDIONAL SIGNAL COMPANY. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 27/05/1918, AGED 30. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW. HE IS BURIED IN FRANCE.
