Born Whitby, Yorkshire, 1895. Husband of Elsie Annie Wilding, of 5, The Square, East Morton, Bingley, Yorkshire. They had two children. A Waggoner (farm).
He enlisted in Hull, in 1912. Formerly, Private,1332, Yorkshire Regiment. Posted to France, on 10th September 1915. Transferred to the 2/5th Prince of Wales’s Own (West Yorkshire) Regiment. Killed in action, on 25/07/1918, aged 25.
Commemorated on the Soissons Memorial, Aisne, France.
