BORN SEATON, HULL 1896. SON OF WILLIAM WILKINSON (1862-1930) & JANE KEITH (1867-1931), OF SEATON, HULL. HE HAD THREE BROTHER AND FIVE SISTERS. WORKED AS AN ASSISTANT BUTCHER, FOR HENRY CLAYTON, IN HORNSEA.

HE ENLISTED AT HULL. SERVED WITH THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 05/11/1916, AGED 20. UNMARRIED. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, JANE.

COMMEMORTAED ON THE THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING ON THE SOMME.

COMMEMORATED ON THE SIGGLESTHORNE WW1 MEMORIAL WHERE 75 MEN SERVED AND ELEVEN DIED IN WW1.
