Born Hull 1898. Son of Frederick (1872-1925) and Frances Elizabeth Wilson (1871-1965), of 114, Holderness Road, Hull (War Pension address). Son of a Furniture Dealer. He had one brother, Fred.
He enlisted at Hull, on 07/09/1914, He was 17, but gave his age as 19. Served with the Hull Heavy Battery, in East Africa. Discharged and awarded Silver Badge (No: 26207), on 26/10/1917. Died of Malaria and Pneumonia, on 28/10/1918, aged 21.
