Robert was a Hairdresser and Tobacconist by trade and at the time of the 1911 Census lived with his sister at 46 Edward Street, Hessle. He married Edith Annie Wood of Swinegate, North Church Side, Hessle at some point though I can find no record of when and the couple appear to have had no children. His name is listed on the Hessle War Memorial. and the All saints parish Church inside. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, on 05/07/1919. *
