Born Birkenhead, 16/12/1897. Only son of John George Wright and Agnes Walker, of The Roundway, Anlaby Road, Hull (War Pension address). Son of an Engineer. He was apprenticed as an Engineer at Cammell Laird, Cheshire.
He enlisted in February 1914 before war began. Served with the 1st/4th Cheshire Regiment. Killed at Sulva Bay, Gallipoli, on 15/08/1915, aged 18.
He is recorded in the De Ruvigny Roll of Honour, Volume 2.
