BORN HULL 1897. SON OF JOHN HENRY & MRS MARY ELIZABETH (ELLIOT) YOUNG, OF 73, FLINTON STREET. BEFORE ENLISTING HE WORKED AS A RIGGER FOR MESSRS HALL & BARTON, HULL HIGH STREET. EDUCATED AT TRINITY HOUSE, HULL.

HE DIED OF WOUNDS FROM SHELL FIRE WHICH HAD KILLED AN OFFICER. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 15TH FEBRUARY 1918, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH. *.
HE APPEARS ON THE TRINITY NAVAL MEMORIAL.

HIS BROTHER JOHN YOUNG WORKED ON MINE SWEEPERS.
