Wilson, Harry

Born Doncaster. He enlisted in Hull. Served with the 1st King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Killed in action, on 24/05/1915. Commemorated on the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium. He did not leave his army effects to anyone and sadly there is nothing more known about him.

Slingsby, Arthur Ernest

Born Newington, Kent, 1883. Sone of William Slingsby. A Professional Soldier serving as Private, 641, with the 1st Northumberland Fusiliers, in India (1911 Census) Enlisted in Hull. Transferred to the 2nd Northumberland Fusiliers. Died on 21/02/1915, aged 32. Commemorated on the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium.

Harrington, Herbert

Born Leeds 1887. Enlisted Hull. Served in the 1st Northumberland Fusiliers. Killed in action, on 16/06/1915, aged 28. Commemorated at the Ypres Menin Gate memorial, Belgium. His army effects were left to his unmarried wife, Mary Agnes Baker, at .25, Havelock Street, Harvington, Leeds (War pension address).
