HE MARRIED CLARA MALTBY AT HULL IN 1915. HIS WIFE CLARA LIVED AT 12, MONTROSE STREET, HULL.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A DRIVER IN THE ROYAL FIELD ARTILLERY, 15TH BRIGADE. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 26/10/1917, AGED 24. BURIED AT MENIN ROAD SOUTH MILITARY CEMETERY.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, CLARA AND ADOPTED SON, HARRY MALTBY, BORN 01/08/1914. CLARA LATER EMIGRATED TO 67 DUDLEY STREET, WEST MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA (WAR PENSION RECORDS)

HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE DANSOM LANE ROLL OF HONOUR. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 14/11/1917 & 07/12/1917.
