The Grimsby steam trawler MERCIA (GY1212) left her home port for the North Sea fishing grounds and was not heard of again. On 20/03/1915 posted missing:- Lost all hands. In the previous month sister-ship BERNICIA (GY1215) was also posted missing. Lost all hands.
