HE SERVED WITH THE 1ST EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 08/09/1914. KILLED IN ACTION ON 03/12/1914, AGED 21. COMMEMORATED IN BELGIUM. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TIS FATHER.
