BORN HULL 1893. SON OF GEORGE BOSWORTH (1859-1922) & CATHERINE WILKINSON (1864-1934), OF 16 CORNWALL STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE HAD SIX BROTHERS & ONE SISTER ALICE, LIVING AT 16 CORNWALL STREET, HULL (HDM 11/12/1918). AN APPRENTICE. HE WORKED FOR MESSRS, STONES AND WILKINSON, BRASS FOUNDERS, KING’S STREET. HULL.

HE MARRIED IVY NEWALL, AT SCULCOATES, HULL, IN 1918.

HE ENLISTED AT HULL, IN 1914. FORMERLY, OF THE 4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 17/04/1915. HE TRANSFERRED TO “D” COMPANY, THE 7TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 18/09/1918, AGED 25. COMMEMORATED ON THE VIS-EN- ARTOIS MEMORIAL, FRANCE.

HE LEFT HIS ARMY EFFECTS TO HIS FIANCE IVY, WHO LIVED AT 14 RENSBURG STREET, NEW BRIDGE ROAD, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS), AND REQUESTED INFORMATION FOR HIM (HULL DAILY MAIL, 15/09/1919). *

HIS BROTHER, GUNNER, GEORGE BOSWORTH, 816, ROYAL GARRISON ARTILLERY, OF 16 GRANGE STREET, HULL, WAS DISCHARGED WOUNDED FROM THE ARMY AND DIED IN HULL, ON 03/05/1918, AGED 20.
