Brown, John William

Born Hull, 1896. Son of John Horton Brown and Mary Ellen Brown, of 31 Barnsley Street, Holderness Road, Hull. Employed at the Hull Skin and Hide Marker, Finkle street, Hull.

He enlisted in 1915. Served in Egypt and France. He was killed at Serre, on 13/11/1916, aged 20. His Brother, Pte Walter Brown was wounded in the same attack. They are photographed together in the Hull Daily Mail, 06/12/1916. *
