Budge, James Edwin

Born Hull, 1898. Son of Angus Wentworth Budge (1865-1936) and Rose Ann Budge (1868-1939), of 130, Lovett St., Grimsby (CWGC address). Son of a engine driver. His father was from the Isle of Skye. His mother was born in Leeds. He had two brothers and three sisters. His elder siblings were also born in Hull.

He enlisted at Grimsby. Served in the 11th Royal Fusiliers (London Regiment). Killed in action, on 26/09/1916, aged 19. Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. His army effects were left to his mother, Rose.

His brother, Donald Wentworth Budge, 206791, Royal Engineers,  lived at 149, Plane Street, Hull (Army address).
