Chapman, Frank

Born Keighley, Yorkshire, 05/05, 1889. Son of John William Chapman and Emma Elizabeth Chapman (nee Godley), of 33, Fleet Street, Hull (war pension address).

He enlisted at Leeds. Served in the King’s Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, “D” Coy. 9th Bn. Died of wounds, on 08/07/1916, aged 24.

Buried at Boulogne Eastern Cemetery, France. His army effects were left to his half sister, Doris Godley.

He is commemorated at St Mary’s Church, Sculcoates, Lane, Hull.
