BORN BRIDLINGTON 18/12/1888. HE MARRIED EVELINE DAVY, ON 23/06/1913,AT HULL HOLY TRINITY CHURCH. THEY LIVED AT 9 CAMPBELL TERRACE, RODNEY STREET, NORFOLK STREET, HULL.WORKED AS A BUILDER’S LABOURER, FOR MR J.T LEVITT, HOLDERNESS ROAD, HULL.

HE ENLISTED ON 12/06/1915, JOINING THE HULL PALS. HE SERVED IN EGYPT, FRANCE AND FALNDERS. WAS KILLED IN ACTION DURING THE GERMAN SPRING OFFENSIVE, ON 21/03/1918, AGED 30. COMMEMORATED AT THE ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING. HE LEFT A WIDOW AND SIX CHILDREN.
HIS DEATH IS RECORDED I THE DE RUVIGNY ROLL OF HONOUR, VOLUME 4.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 19/04/1918. *
