Born Beverley 1894. Son of Clara and William Danby, of 11, Cherry Tree Terrace, Grovehill Road, Beverley. (CWGCAddress). He was the second of five sons. Worked at Wilfholme Farm, Kilnwick, Cranswick, Beverley, as a horseman. He enlisted in Beverley. Formerly, Private, 22163, East Yorkshire Regiment. Transferred as Private, 43653, Labour Corps. Died on 17/10/1918, aged 24. Buried at St Nicholas Churchyeard, Beverley. His grave inscription, reads, “At Rest”.
