HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS BOMBARDIER, 65991, ROYAL FIIELD ARTILLERY. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 16/10/1918, AGED 27. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE RETURNED TO HIS FATHER ALBERT. HE IS COMMEMORATAED ON THE VIS-EN-ARTOIS MEMORIAL, FRANCE.
HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, ARTHUR RICHARD DANNATT, 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT, WAS KILLED IN ACTION ON 24/09/1916, AGED 23.
