Dickinson, John Edward

Born Thorne, Near Doncaster, West Yorkshire, 1892. Son of Fred and Martha Dickinson.

Husband of Lilian Dickinson, of Laxton, Howden, Yorkshire. They had a daughter, Annie, born on 1st December 1916. A Labourer at the Thorne, Peat Works (1911 Census).

He enlisted in Hull. Formerly of the East Riding RGA. Transferred to as Lance Bombardier, 326th Siege Bty., Royal Garrison Artillery. Killed in action, on 29/08/1918, aged 27.

Buried at Wancourt British Cemetery, France.

He left £116 in his will to his widow, Lilian. He is remember on the family grave at Thorne, Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster.
