Born Market Weighton, 1885. Son of John Henry Elliott (1854-1938) and Eleanor Kirby (1856-1938), of 38, Baker Street, Sparkhill, Birmingham. He enlisted at Market Weighton. Served with the 5th Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action, on 25/04/1915, aged 30. He is commemorated on the Ypres Memorial to the Missing.
He lived at 307 Boulevard, Hull. His death and address were reported in the Hull Daily Mail 11th & 12th May 1915. Also Hull Times, on 15/05/1915.
