BORN PATRINGTON 28/9/1892. SON OF LAURA MARY & DAVID FEWSTER (A HULL UNDERTAKER), OF PATRINGTON, EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE.  IN 1912 HE EMIGRATED TO CANADA. LIVED AT MONTLACH, SASKATEWAN, CANADA. HE ENLISTED IN FEBRUARY 1916. SERVED IN THE 46TH CANADIAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCE. KILLED ON 21/08/1917, AGED 24. HE LEFT FIANCEE, LOUISE RAYLING.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 04/09/1917*

IS BURIED AT THE CANADIAN CEMETERY NO.2, NEUVILLE-ST. VAAST, PAS DE CALAIS, FRANCE. HIS GRAVE INSCRIPTION, READS, “GAVE HIS LIFE FOR HIS COUNTRY”

HE ISALSO COMMEMORATED ON THE PATRINGTON WW1 MEMORIAL AND AT ST PATRICK’S CHURCH THERE.
