ENLISTED IN BIRMINGHAM. SERVED AS RIFLEMAN, IN THE 9TH RIFLE BRIGADE. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 19/08/1915. KILLED IN ACTION, IN BELGIUM. ON 21/01/1916, AGED 27. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, EDITH MAY, WHO MOVED TO “ST KILDA”, QUEEN STREET, BARTON UPON HUMBER (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). THEY HAD ONE SON, GEORGE ALBEBERT, BORN 06/09/1913.
