HUSBAND OF MRS FRANCES A. GRAY, OF 3, MONA AVENUE, CAVE STREET, HULL.

HE WORKED FOR THE RAILWAYS, AS A LOCAOMOTIVE ENGINE CLEANER LIVING AT 3, MELROSE VILLAS, CHESTNUT AVENUE, QUEENS ROAD, HULL (1911 CENSUS). HE LATER WORKED FOR THE HULL POLICE FORCE.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A GUNNER, IN THE ROYAL GARRISON ARTILLERY. DIED OF WOUNDS, ON 08/09/1918, AGED 25.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 20/09/1918.

HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE THORNGUMBOLD WW1 VILLAGE MEMORIAL WHERE 65 MEN SERVED AND 9 DIED.
