BORN HULL 1898. SON OF FLORENCE AND ELIZABETH HARPER. LIVED WITH HIS GRANDMOTHER, ROSINA ELIZABETH COOPER, AT 162, DIVISION ROAD, HULL, 262, HESSLE ROAD, HULL AND 52, CHILTERN STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). HE WAS DESCRIBED AS 5 FOOT, 2.5 INCHES TALL, 33-35,5 INCH CHEST.

HE ENLISTED IN HULL, ON 07/05/1915. POSTED TO FRANCE, ON 23/10/1916. SERVED IN THE 19TH DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY. WOUNDED BY GUNSHOT IN THE BACK, AND RIGHT THIGH, ON 06/01/1917. RETURNED TO ENGLAND. POSTED AGAIN TO FRANCE, ON 17/07/1917. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 01/10/1918, AGED 20.
