BORN HULL 13/10/1893. ORPHANED AT AN EARLY AGE. HE WAS LIVING IN A TRUANCY SCHOOL IN 1911 AND THEN ADOPTED BY MR AND MRS WADDINGHAM AT THIS NEXT OF KIN ADDRESS. SERVED AS A DECKHAND. HE DIED ON 04/11/1914, AGED 21. BURIED LOWESTOFT, CEMETERY, SUFFOLK. INFORMATION FROM HIS NAVAL RECORDS.
SCHIEHALLION HMT was an Admiralty trawler of 198grt built in 1903. She was formerly the Aberdeen-reg A905 owned by Grampian Steam Fishing Co. Ltd. and hired in August 1914 as minesweeper, Admiralty No.352, Skipper Thomas Barlow RNR. She was mined and sunk on the 9th June 1915 in the Dardanelles. No lives lost
