Kelsey, Thomas Benjamin

BORN HULL 1887. SECOND SON OF HENRY JAMES (1859-1897) & MARY ELIZABETH KELSEY (1860-1941). HE HAD TWO BROTHERS AND FIVE SISTERS.

A FISH HOUSE LABOURER. HE MARRIED AT HULL, IN 1910. HUSBAND OF ANNA ELIZA EMERY (1889-1975) & 2 CHILDREN, AT 4 EDGAR STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS) AND 6 AIREDALE TERRACE, HESSLE ROAD, HULL.

HE ENLISTED AT HULL. SERVED WITH THE 4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 22/04/1917, AGED 29. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE ARRAS MEMORIAL. ALSO LISTED ON HULL’S WALKER STREET MEMORIAL.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 22/04/1918.

HIS ELDER BROTHER, GEORGE KELSEY, SERVED WITH THE EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT AND WAS WOUNDED.
