McCullough, Terrence

Terence McCullagh was born in Dublin in 1877.
He was son of Patrick and Mary McCullagh.
He married Mary Elizabeth Nicholson in 1914.
He served with the Dublin Fusiliers during the Boer War.
During the First World War he served as a private in the East Yorkshire regiment.
On 16 May 1915 Terence McCullagh died as a result of gunshot wound in France, age 39 years.

Born at Dublin, 1876. Son of Patrick and Mary McCullough; husband of Mary E. McCullough, of 95, Walkergate, Beverley, Yorks. 21 years’ service.

Private, Terrace McCullough, served full time with the 2nd EYR and rejoined the regiment when war began. He was posted to the 3rd EYR. He died of wounds, received in action, in a London Hospital, on 16/05/1915, aged 39. He is buried at Kensal Green (St Mary’s) Roman Catholic Cemetery, London.

He had only been married for 5 months. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, on 24/05/1915. *
