Son of Mrs. Alice Mutter, of 15, Fulham St., Beeston Hill, Leeds. Native of Newcastle-on-Tyne. Worked for Amos and Smith in Hull and lived in Argyle Street, Hull. He enlisted in the Hull Commercials and served with the Hull Pals. He died of wounds, on 13/11/1916, aged 22. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, on 16/11/1917, with his photograph.
