BORN HULL 1884. FOURTH SON OF MARIA WILSON & THE LATE SAMUEL ROBINSON (1852-1896), OF 25, PRYME STREET, HULL. HE HAD FIVE BROTHERS. HE WAS A FORMAN ENGINEERS, LIVING WITH HIS WIFE, BEATRICE AND SON AT 14 WHITBY STREET, HULL (1911 CENSUS).

SERVED AS, LANCE COPORAL SAMUEL ROBINSON, 176701, ROYAL ENGINEERS, RAILWAY TROOPS DEPARTMENT. DISCHARGED AS DISABLED, ON 26/04/1919. AWARDED SIVER WOUND BADGE (NO: B285458). DIED OF WAR AGGRAVATED TUBERCULOSIS, ON 02/06/1920, AGED 36.

HIS BROTHER WALTER (WALLY) ROBINSON WAS A TEACHER AT CHARTERHOUSE SCHOOL, HULL. AN ORIGINAL HULL PAL. WALTER SERVED IN “C” COMPANY, 10TH EAST YORKSHIRES, IN EGYPT AND FRANCE. HE WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 20/10/1916, AGED 24.  HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL ON 30TH OCTOBER 1916, WITH HIS PHOTOGRAPH.*

HIS BROTHER, HENRY ROBINSON, NO:127130 ALSO SERVED IN THE ROYAL ENGINEERS AND LIVED WITH HIS WIFE AND CHILD AT 25 PRYME STREET, HULL
