BORN HULL 21/05/1890. MARRIED 1915. HUSSBAND OF LOUISA, LIVING AT 19 & 53 ALEXANDRA STREET, HULL (NAVAL RECORDS ADDRESS). SON OF CHARLES & ANNIE STATHERS, OF 3 FAWCETT STREET, HULL. HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 31/08/1916.  HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL, UK. HE WAS LISTED AS KILLED ON THE ALEXANDRA STREET SHRINE (HDM 23/10/1916).

Nadine, built by Mackie & Thomson, Govan in 1898 and operated at the time of her loss by Royal Navy, was a British navy trawler of 150 tons. On September 1st, 1915, Nadine was sunk by a mine from the German submarine UC-7 (Franz Wäger), off the North Shipwash Buoy, Thames Estuary. 9 persons were lost.
