HE WORKED AS A BAKER’S VAN MAN, AND COAL TEAMER, FOR THE NORTH EASTERN RAILWAYS.

HE MARRIED SARAH FOWLER (1895-1990), AT HULL, IN 1915.

HE ENLISTED IN BEVERLEY. FORMERLY, PRIVATE, 26258, EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. TRANSFERRED TO THE 8TH NORTHUMBERLAND FUSILIERS. HE DIED ON 16/08/1917, AGED 25. HE IS COMMEMORATED ON THE TYNE COTT MEMORIAL, BELGIUM.
