BORN HULL 1876. SON OF GEORGE WILLIAM TURNBULL (1851-1917) & ELIZABETH LINFOOT (1851-1901). MARRIED AT SCULCOATES, HULL IN 1898. WIFE JANE SULLIVAN (1879-1949) OF 11 WILSON’S TERRACE, NORNABELL STREET, HULL. WORKED A BOILER RIVETTER. SERVED IN THE 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. DIED OF WOUNDS AT HOME.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW JANE. THEY HAD TWO SONS WILLIAM AND WALTER TURNBULL HIS SON WILLIAM, DIED IN HULL, IN 1917, AGED 17.

HIS BROTHER, PRIVATE, GEORGE HENRY TURNBULL, 19TH DURHAM LIGHT INFANTRY, WAS KILLED IN ACTION, ON 25/08/1917, AGED 35. HE WAS A PRESSMAN, LIVING AT 29 LOCKWOOD STREET, HULL.
