White, George

Born South Shields, Durham, 1874. He was a Ship’s fireman, living at 11 Elgin Terrace, Bean Street, Hull (1911 census address). He enlisted Hull. Served with the 2nd East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action, on 23/04/1915. His army effects were left to his widow Mary Louise Kessel (1884-1934) and daughter, Cornelia. His widow who he married in 1904, was ineligible for a grant and there is no Pension record address. He is recorded as killed on the Nornabell Street, Roll of Honour.
