BORN HULL 25/09/1877. SON OF CHARLES WILSON (1824-1883) & MARY ANN WILSON (1835-1913). NAVAL RECORDS. HE MARRIED HARRIET SWANNACK (1881-1951), AT ST PAUL’S, HULL, ON 20/05/1900. HIS WIFE HARRIET LIVED AT 9 BRIGHTON TERRACE, OXFORD STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS). THEY HAD SEVEN CHILDREN. HE WORKED AS A GENERAL LABOURER AT THE GAS WORKS. HE ENLISTED IN THE ROYAL NAVAL RESERVEDS. SERVED WITH THE HOWE BATTALION, ROYAL NAVAL DIVISION. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 30/04/1917, AGED 41.

HIS NAME IS LISTED ON THE BRITISH GAS LIGHT AND COKE COMPANY WW1 MEMORIAL, WHICH IS KEPT AT THE FAKENHAM GAS MUSEUM, NORFOLK.
