BORN HULL 1888. SON OF THOMAS TAYLOR FISHER AND ELIZABETH BLYTH (1856-1937), OF 2 ALBERT TERRACE, HESSLE ROAD, HULL. SON OF A SHIPYARD LABOURER. HE WORKED AS AN ERRAND BOY IN THE HULL PORT. HIS BROTHERS WERE BOILER MAKERS AND BLACKSMITHS.
HE ENLISTED HULL. SERVED AS A CORPORAL, WITH THE 6TH EAST YORKSHIRE PIONEERS. LEFT ENGLAND ON 14/07/1915. KILLED AT THE DARDANELLES, ON 09/08/1915, AGED 27. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER ELIZABETH, AT 119 REGENT STREET, HULL (WAR PENSION ADDRESS). IN 1917 HIS WAR PENSION WENT TO HIS BROTHER, RICHARD. ANOTHER BROTHER, PRIVATE, FRED FISHER, 1249, 6TH EAST YORKSHIRES, DIED OF GAS WOUNDS, AFTER THE WAR, ON 25/01/1921.
