HE MARRIED AT HULL 1910. HIS WIFE, ELIZABETH BEATRICE WILSON (1889-1957), LIVED AT 2, PRETORIA AVENUE, EDINBURGH STREET, HULL, 6, GRASMERE AVENUE, SUBWAY STREET AND 13, ANDREW MARVEL TERRACE, WASSAND STREET, HULL (CWGC ADDRESS).

THEY HAD TWO CHILDREN, EDITH (BORN 14/2/12) AND GEORGE (BORN 3/6/14)

BEFORE THE WAR HE WORKED AT THE HULL RADIATOR WORKS FOR FIVE YEARS. HIS NAME IS ONE OF 46 EMPLOYEES LISTED ON THE IDEAL BOILER AND RADIATOR WW1 MEMORIAL, NATIONAL AVENUE, HULL.

HE ENLISTED AT GRIMSBY. SERVED AS PRIVATE, 10735, 3RD LINCOLNSHIRE REGIMENT. HE DIED OF PNEUMONIA, IN GRIMSBY, ON 07/02/1917, AGED 27. BURIED AT HULL WESTERN CEMETERY. HIS ARMY EFFECTS & WEEKLY WAR PENSION OF 22/9, WERE LEFT TO HIS WIDOW, ELIZABETH. SHE RE-MARRIED ON 18/1/1918. AND BECAME MRS DUNN.

HIS DEATH WAS REPORTED IN THE HULL DAILY MAIL, ON 21/02/1917. *

HIS UNCLE, RIFLEMAN, JOHN MACKINDER, 3907, 2ND KRRC, DIED OF WOUNDS ON 31/01/1914, AGED 30.
