Stanley Parrott family Grave, Sutton

BORN HULL 1897. THIRD SON OF FRED PARROTT (1864-1924) AND SARAH ANN VARLEY (1873-1952). SON OF A HUMBER PILOT, LIVING AT “BROXHOLME”, INGS ROAD, SUTTON (War Pension address). THE FAMILY LIVED AT 25 EAST PARK AVENUE, HOLDERNESS ROAD, (1911 CENSUS), WHERE STANLEY WENT TO SCHOOL. HE HAD THREE BROTHER. BOTH HIS ELDER BROTHERS, RICHARD AND FRED, SADLY DIED IN 1914.

STANLEY PARROTT ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED AS A GUNNER. DIED OF WOUNDS AT THE AUSTRALIAN GENERAL HOSPITAL, WIMMEREUX, ON 23/11/1917, AGED 20. HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS MOTHER, “ANNIE”.

HIS NAME IS RECORDED ON THE SUTTON CHURCH WW1 MEMORIAL, HULL.

HE IS REMEMBERED ON THE FAMILY GRAVE IN SUTTON CHURCHYARD, HULL
