HE ENLISTED IN HULL. SERVED WITH THE 1/4TH EAST YORKSHIRE REGIMENT. KILLED IN ACTION, ON 22/09/1916, AGED 19. BURIED ON THE SOMME, FRANCE.

HIS ARMY EFFECTS WERE LEFT TO HIS SISTER, MARY E. HOLLAND.
