Son of Charles W. Barker, of Thornton St., Barrow-on-Humber, Lincs. he lived South Ferriby. A regular soldier serving in India. He was drafted home at the outbreak of war. He was shot dead while conveying bandages to stretcher bearers, for which he had volunteered when they were needed. His death was reported in the Hull Daily Mail, on 23/10/1915. *
