Born Pocklington, 1896. Son of Mrs. Edith Jane Gray, of 46 Union Street, Pocklington. A Grocer’s Clerk. Left for France, on 18/04/1915. Served with the 1/5th Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action. on September 26th, 1916, aged 20. His army effects were left to his mother, Edith Jane Gray.
