Born All Saints, Deptford, Kent, 11/11/1879. Son of William and Sarah Delves, of 12 Staveley Road, Peckham. he enlisted in the Royal Marines, on 5 Feb 1897.
He married Alice Gertrude Lawday, at Hull, in 1910. She lived at 9, Brunswick Avenue, Grosvenor Street, Beverley Road, Hull (War Pension address)
Served with the Royal Marine Light Infantry, S.S. Wilston. Died of Pneumonia, at the Royal Navy Sick Quarters, on 07/07/1918, aged 38. Buried at Dalmeny Parish Cemetery, South Queensferry, Linlithgowshire, Scotland. He left £98 in his will to his widow.
