Born Goole, 1896. Son of Tom and Elizabeth Eyre, of 41, Middleburg Street Hull (1911 census) and 7, Pemberton Street, Hull (war Pension address). he had four brothers and four sisters. A Sailor and Shipwright. Described as 5 foot, 9 inches tall, 36-38 inch chest.
Enlisted at Hull, on 22/09/1915. Served with the 11th EYR (Hull Pals), in Egypt and France. Captured on 12/04/1918. Discharged on 5 May 1919.
Died of war aggravated Tuberculosis, on 02/09/1925, aged 29.
