Born Hull, 1894. Son of William Jackson Duffield (1864-1923) and stepson of Edith Mary Duffield, of 42, Granville Street, Anlaby Road, Hull (CWGC & War Pension address). He was a Farm Hand at Sproatley Grange Cottage (1911 Census).
Enlisted at Hull. Served as Gunner, “C” Bty. 34th Bde., Royal Field Artillery. Died of wounds, on 07/03/1917, aged 22.
Buried in France. His grave inscription, reads, “Thy Will Be Done”.
