Kippax, Dan

Born Briercliffe, Lancashire, 1886. Resided Beverley. Son of a Laundry Worker. Worked as a Van man (1911 Census). He married Jane Banister (1885-1915), at Burnley, in 1912.

Enlisted in Hull. Served with the 1/4th East Yorkshire Regiment. Killed in action, on 23/04/1917, aged 31. Commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France.

His army effects were left to his father, Elijah Kippax, at 11, Holmby Street, Burnley, Lancashire (war Pension address).

He left £133 in his will to his father, and his brothers, William Kippax (Mill Manager) and Thomas Kippax (Tape Sizer).
